ON MAY 17–18, “ITER” ARRIVES — A JOURNEY THROUGH THE BEAUTIES AND TRAILS OF MUGELLO
Orme del Mugello — its project, its stories — is making its debut. And it does so with a two-day festival, which will become an annual traveling event, beginning its journey this year between Barberino di Mugello and San Piero a Sieve. On Saturday, May 17 and Sunday, May 18, “ITER – 1st Festival of Paths and Slow Living in Mugello” will take place: the festival, organized in collaboration with the Pro Loco associations of San Piero and Barberino di Mugello, will be a concentrated mix of activities, proposals, and initiatives that those walking through Mugello may encounter. Culture, art, craftsmanship, food and wine, and traditions can all be seen, discovered — or even experienced — thanks to guided treks, cycling opportunities, yoga sessions, and activities with your pets, all free of charge. In addition, two conferences will be held to discuss Mugello, slow tourism, and walking routes, along with a round table featuring the Mugello Tourist Coordination Board, during which a memorandum of understanding on slow tourism will be signed. The presence of important and respected guests will make the meetings and events particularly appealing, while the involvement of qualified professionals will make the experiences truly unique. Artists will be at work throughout the two days, Mugello cuisine will be served at a dedicated food court, and music and theater performances will liven up the event, always in harmony with the themes of Orme del Mugello. All that’s left is for you to fully experience this opportunity, which will also offer space for many businesses, municipalities, and associations to present their activities and products, and to showcase the territories of the nine municipalities that make up the Mugello tourism district.
