Az. agr. Frascole
FotoFrascole is a land of boundaries, a place where a few steps among the vineyards or in the small village of the estate are enough to completely change the landscape, overlooking now the Mugello, now the Valdisieve, with a view towards the hills that enclose Florence. The history of this land has deep roots in a distant past, as evidenced by the numerous archaeological finds that testify to the cultivation of vines already in Etruscan times and later by the Romans. Today, at an altitude between 300 and 500 meters, where the climatic characteristics of Chianti Rufina become extreme, artisanal wines are born, carefully followed from the vineyard to the cellar and then to the bottle. The production includes both native grape varieties, such as Sangiovese and Trebbiano, and non-native varieties such as Pinot Noir and Traminer, which, thanks to the encounter with this territory, develop unique and intriguing expressions. Each bottle follows a meticulous process, culminating in the most precious gem of the estate, the Vin Santo DOC, obtained from Trebbiano grapes and aged for over ten years to achieve maximum complexity and harmony. In addition to wine, Frascole also produces extra virgin olive oil, obtained from the olive trees that dot the same hills and worked with the same dedication. Since 1992, the Lippi and Santoni families have personally taken care of the management of the estate, with a deep respect for the landscape and nature. The organic approach has always been part of the production philosophy, and both wines and oil have been organic certified since 1999. Immersed in this setting, the small medieval village that houses the cellar also welcomes an agriturismo, ideal for those who desire a holiday amidst nature and culture, with the wonders of Tuscany at their fingertips. The ancient dwellings have been renovated to offer stays in authentic and welcoming environments, completely self-contained with dedicated gardens, while the pool, reserved for guests, is nestled among vineyards, olive trees, and wild plants, offering a breathtaking view of the countryside and surrounding woods. Frascole is a place where history, nature, and passion intertwine, giving life to wines and experiences capable of telling the most authentic soul of Chianti Rufina.
