Capanna di Marcone
FotoSmall equipped bivouac, always open, located on the ridge path, not far from Prato all'Albero. It owes its name to the bandit Marcone, who in the 1800s during the Kingdom of Italy frequented these areas. Surrounded by meadows and a charming tall beech forest. On August 12, 1944, near this structure, the "battle of Capanna Marcone" took place, in which the partisans led by Guerrino ambushed a battalion of German infantry.
